Tuesday 11th January 2022: John Sisk & Son has received it’s 2021 CDP (Formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) result. Sisk achieved a B result, an improvement from a B- in 2020 & 2019. This is an important step as we strive to achieve CDP A and become a Carbon Neutral company by 2030, as outlined in our 2030 Sustainability Roadmap.

CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform. CDP drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. Over 13,000 companies with over 64% of global market capitalization disclosed environmental data through CDP in 2021. This is in addition to the over 1,100 cities, states and regions who disclosed, making CDP’s platform one of the richest sources of information globally on how companies and governments are driving environmental change.

Sinéad Hickey, Head of Sustainability, John Sisk & Son said: “We are really pleased to improve our score and achieve CDP B. This is a great step as we work towards moving from the management to the leadership band. We recognise the importance of disclosing to CDP and communicating to our range of stakeholders how we are progressing towards meeting our climate ambitions.”

David Lammers, Deputy Director Corporate Engagement, CDP Europe: “The scientific consensus on the need for urgent action on climate change has never been clearer. And ambition this decade will determine how well we can protect our natural resources and avoid the worst effects of global climate change. As policy and corporate stakeholders continue to develop strategies for environmental protection and a low-carbon transition, the availability of reliable and comparable data will remain of vital importance. By disclosing to CDP in 2021, John Sisk & Son has demonstrated a commitment to corporate environmental transparency and made an important contribution to an economy that works for both people and planet.”
