Thursday 10th March 2022: Chief Minister of the Isle of Man, Alfred Cannan, recently visited Sisk’s IOM Ferry Terminal project in Liverpool to celebrate the topping out ceremony.
Alongside Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall MHK, the Chief Minister walked a tour of the site and got to see the steelwork for the 30,000 square-foot terminal building which has been constructed by our team.
The Chief Minister said: “It’s two years now since work began and it’s clear that a range of on-site challenges have had to be overcome, in addition to disruption and difficulties presented by the pandemic. Today’s trip has helped put this into context and I look forward to further visible progress being made over the coming months as things really start to take shape.”
Dominic Hodges, Managing Director, UK Civils, Sisk said: “I am incredibly proud of our team for the monumental effort they have put in on this project, working through the pandemic and in a difficult environment where they need to factor in sea levels on a conservation area. The progress that has been made is excellent, and I look forward to seeing the benefits that this terminal will have for both the people of Liverpool and the Isle of Man.”
